Plot summary
Sundareshwar is an unemployed engineering graduate who wants a career in information technology rather than his father's saree shop. Pressed by his family, he goes with them to meet a possible bride and meets Meenakshi; the two get along and fall in love. Meenakshi's grandfather, noting that their first names together form the name of Madurai's Meenakshi Sundareshwar temple, persuades both families to arrange the marriage, and the wedding takes place there. Soon after, Sundareshwar wins an internship in Bangalore and leaves his wife behind; on his first day he learns that the company takes on only single employees, so he pretends to be unmarried and Meenakshi cannot join him.
