Plot summary
When a man who looks exactly like him is found murdered, Alain Moreau, a police officer in Nice, follows the case to the Hotel Chevre D'Or and to the name Mikhail Suverov, born on the same day as Alain. His mother, Chantal, admits she gave Mikhail up for adoption at birth, and that the stranger was Alain's twin. Alain flies to New York City and learns Mikhail belonged to the Russian mafia in Little Odessa, Brooklyn. At the Bohemia club, Mikhail's girlfriend Alex Bartlett mistakes him for Mikhail, and Ivan Dzasokhov, a higher-up in the mafia, sends his men to bring Mikhail to him.
