Plot summary
Mike Vecchio and Susan Henderson share a home and have told each family that a roommate lives with them. After a year and a half they make their engagement known. Susan's father has taken up with the closest friend of his wife. Mike's brother Richie and Richie's wife Joan call themselves incompatible and talk about a divorce. Frank and Bea, Mike's Italian-American parents, argue with each other while pressing Richie to stay married. Wilma, Susan's older sister, and her husband Johnny have their own difficulties, and Mike's friend Jerry chases Brenda, Susan's cousin and the maid of honor.
