Plot summary
Talia is nineteen, Belgian and of Senegalese descent, and she is visiting the country her family comes from for the first time. In Dakar she stays at the luxurious villa of her cousin's family, where she hopes to meet her grandmother. The grandmother is nowhere to be found, and the villa becomes a golden prison for her. Then she meets Malika, a bird peddler.
