Plot summary
Paddy Moriarty lives in Larrimah with his dog. Larrimah is a settlement in the Northern Territory outback, and the number of people there comes to eleven. Then Paddy and his dog are gone, and no one can say where they went. With the population suddenly smaller, the people left behind draw the attention of investigators, and the neighbors' long history of infighting becomes part of the case.
