Plot summary

At the center of the documentary are lengthy interviews with Lance Armstrong. He looks back on the years that brought him fame, while former teammates, rivals, friends, and journalists add their own recollections. The film follows his early progress as a cyclist, his treatment for testicular cancer, and his return to win seven straight Tour de France titles. That run placed him at the center of the sport, but the story also turns to the doping accusations that came to surround his career. Armstrong and others speak about how those allegations arose and what they meant for the reputation he had built.
