Plot summary
Laila comes from a reputed family in Srinagar, and in college she enjoys teasing the boys who are drawn to her. Qais Bhatt belongs to a wealthy family, and when he pursues her she tells him to stop following her. He gives her a note promising to leave her alone, adding that she is the one who has to come to him if she wants him. They cross paths again at a wedding and, despite the legal disputes between their families, they grow close. When Laila's family learns of the attachment, they arrange her marriage to Ibban, her father's political assistant, and her father's threat to take his own life compels her to agree.
