Plot summary
Made in stages over twelve years, the film follows three Irish Traveller families, the Joyces, the Nevins and the Quinn McDonaghs, through the bitter feuds and fights between them. Their disputes are settled in bare-knuckle bouts, staged away from anyone outside the community. The film looks at why the families keep holding these fights, and it goes into a side of Traveller life that outsiders barely know. The families will not tell an outsider what first set the feud going, so the reason stays among them. Michael Quinn McDonagh, Paddy Quinn McDonagh, Thomas (Spike) Nevin, Davey Nevin and Joe (Big Joe) Joyce are among those involved.
