Plot summary
Karl is a widower who has come to the morgue to see his late wife. He struggles to accept the loss, and he cannot bring himself to open her casket. In the morgue's bathroom he meets another widower, Torben, who asks him for toilet paper and then for something more: help in viewing his own dead wife, because he does not think he can do it alone. Karl hesitates. When Torben's face falls, he changes his mind and asks why Torben did not bring friends or family instead. The two men then walk into the room where Torben's wife is kept.
