Plot summary
Hell week at Briggs College puts three pledges, Vivia, Jennifer and Phoebe, through a round of tasks for a place in the sorority. The housemother, Mrs. Henshaw, urges that no initiation be held at Pratt House, the abandoned fraternity nearby, and at Allan's tombstone outside she asks that the students be left alone if they enter the house. Professor Zito recalls the hazing 22 years earlier that killed Allan. Jennifer meets Blake while stealing clothes from a boys' fraternity, and Martin, a shy classmate, returns a book she dropped. The sorority accepts the three women. At the initiation in Pratt House, the lights flicker and glasses fly off a table by themselves.

Actress Sherry Willis-Burch said in an interview that her character Vivia was originally meant to be killed early in the film when she first got the role, but was rewritten to survive until the very end.
