Plot summary
Gil Bok-soon works as a contract killer and goes home to her teenage daughter, Jae-young. Her agency director, Cha Min-kyu, offers her two assignments, one overseas and one closer to home, and she chooses the local job to stay near her daughter. Her target is a man in line to become prime minister, who let his son's death be read as a murder-suicide so that a college admissions scandal would stay buried. She sees both his sorrow and what he did, lets him live, and reports the job as a failure. Min-kyu doubts her, though her intern Young-ji backs her account. At home she finds cigarettes in Jae-young's clothes, and at school Jae-young has stabbed a classmate with scissors, and no one will explain why.
