Plot summary
Nargis Chaudhary lives with depression and PTSD after the events in Noman, and therapy and medicines have not restored her old life with her husband Sameer. A car accident kills the brother and sister-in-law of Sameer's friend Deepak. Their five-year-old daughter Nandini is the only survivor. Deepak's traveling sales job keeps him on the road, so he plans to place the girl in an adoption home. Sameer asks to keep Nandini with him and Nargis for a week, hoping the child will lift Nargis out of her depression. Nargis holds back at first, then begins to bond with Nandini, and the couple adopt her. Their happiness ends when Basheshwar "Bacchu" Thakur, grandson of the powerful Sheela Thakur, is rejected by his crush Seema, and Seema and Nandini disappear.
