Plot summary
Drake runs a robbery gang, and the man he wants for a job in Britain is an American safe-cracker named Johnny Stevens. Before the work can begin, Stevens is picked up by the police on a charge that has nothing to do with Drake. With the gang lying low, the police look for a way to reach it. They ask Rick Hogan, a freelance adventurer, to enter prison as Stevens, so that Drake's men will come to the man they believe is their safe-cracker. Hogan must keep the false identity in place among the prisoners while the police wait for the gang to make its move.
