Plot summary

Two competing ideas about government and money are laid out side by side. One holds that what a person earns belongs to that person and is best spent by that person. The other holds that officials in Washington should decide how the country's wealth is spread. Ronald Reagan and Barack Obama are the reference points, and their words and actions illustrate each position. Animation, film clips, dramatizations and graphics carry the argument, along with interviews with public figures and experts. Three animated sketches parody American politicians. The film compares Reaganomics and Obamanomics as economic and governmental policies and their effect on American life.
