Plot summary
Emma le Roux has made the drive to her father's farm for the holidays many times, and this time the journey should be simple. On the road she crosses paths with Bosman, the violent mastermind of a drug syndicate, and with the men around him: his henchmen Baz and Jay, the spoiled AJ and Boela, who are in the criminal underworld for quick money, and his cousin Piet, a weakling who does whatever Bosman wants. Emma witnesses them murder a policeman, and the men see her seeing them. From that moment the syndicate is hunting her through the desolate Karoo.
