Plot summary
Bailey works at a gym in Atlanta, has survived testicular cancer, and has not gotten over his ex-fiancée, Elizabeth. Darla writes a sex column and is fired over her debauched writing and her exploits at the office. Her court-ordered recovery group for sexual addiction meets next door to the cancer support group Bailey attends, and a drunken Bailey wanders into the wrong meeting and announces that his remaining testicle has to come out. She proposes that they drive across the country, revisiting the places where she once had sex and acting those encounters out again with him before his operation. Bailey agrees, provided the route includes Dallas, where he wants to see Elizabeth again. Darla talks her old editor, Tanya, into running a daily blog about the trip.
