Plot summary
Marta and Viktor are marking ten years of marriage, and neither of them brings much enthusiasm to the day. Each suspects the two do not fit together. Alena, a friend of Marta's, has just entered her third marriage, and she reports that a computer picked her husband and that she is happy. After hesitating, the couple visit a cybernetic institute, where the machine answers that a shared life puts them at risk. It proposes what it regards as suitable matches: for Viktor, a doctor named Mrs Tuchlová; for Marta, the composer Petr Karát.

Did you know?!Facts and trivia about Hodíme se k sobe, milácku...? (1975)
Can contain spoilers, watch the movie first.
- Vlastimil Brodský and Jana Brejchová, who play a married couple in crisis, were actually married at the time and going through a crisis of their own: they did not speak to each other on set and separated shortly after filming.
- Vladimír Menšík, who plays the plumber Vencl, clashed sharply with director Petr Schulhoff during filming: Schulhoff demanded the actors follow the script exactly, while Menšík liked to improvise his lines. They finished the film together, but Menšík never acted in another Schulhoff film.
- This was the first film in which František Peterka and Iva Janžurová played partners. Director Schulhoff liked them so much in the roles that he cast them as married couples in his comedies Zítra to roztočíme, drahoušku...! (1976) and Co je doma, to se počítá, pánové... (1980).
