To the Woods (2012) on Netflix

Plot summary

Honza Marák has left a career in information technology and lives with his wife Markéta, their daughter Anyna and their son Sayen in a cottage on the edge of a small village. He earns a modest living in the woods, repairing roads and fences, cutting wood to sell and helping the foresters. Markéta supports the family as a masseuse and an alternative healer who works with mind-altering plants and mushrooms, which puts her at odds with the village's older residents. Anyna attends a school far from home, and her grades fall as she spends her time in the woods learning from nature instead of her textbooks. In her wanderings she meets Ludva, a forest ranger and hunter raised in the area.
