Plot summary
David King is a New York music mogul who founded Stackin' Hits Records. He once sold his majority stake in the label, and now he wants to buy it back before a rival label can take it over. To buy out one partner's shares, he pledges most of his personal assets, among them his Dumbo penthouse and his collection of contemporary Black art. On the day the deal is to close, an anonymous caller demands money for his son Trey. King calls the police, and he and his wife, Pam, agree to pay.
