Plot summary
A documentary team looks into the 2009 tragedy at Hell House, a haunted attraction in Abaddon, New York, where fifteen people died. The team tracks down Sara Havel, the only surviving staff member, who gives them footage of the company setting up its Halloween attraction at the Hotel Abaddon. CEO Alex designs the tour to end in the basement, where an actress is chained and about to be sacrificed to a cult. Scare actor Melissa tells the others the hotel is said to be haunted. Interviews tie the building to alleged cultist Andrew Tully. Abaddon, the town's namesake, is a demon said to guard the gateway to hell. A mother and daughter disappeared at the hotel in 1989. A clown mannequin moves on its own and shadowy figures appear, yet Alex insists the attraction will open as planned.

- Writer-director Stephen Cognetti has said he conceived the Hell House LLC trilogy as a single story split into three acts, with each film serving as one act, which made writing the second and third parts easy because he knew where the story was going from the start.
