Angélique divides her time between her art projects, a part-time job working in a cafe and house-sitting for a wealthy family that is away on vacation. She buys a single pink rose and has it delivered to Dr. Loïc Le Garrec, a married cardiologist whose wife, Rachel, is expecting a child. Angélique believes that Loïc is her lover and will leave Rachel for her. Her friend David disapproves of the affair, but she insists that Loïc will come to her.
