Plot summary
In a small Kerala village, gatta gusthi wrestling was once the old generation's passion, but the young now play cricket, and the two groups clash over Manayathuvayal, the field where competitions were held years before. Aanjaneya Das is an aimless member of the cricket-playing youth in the village. His father, Captain, the village's one-time wrestling champion, enrolls him at Punjab University for a Master's against his wishes. There he meets Aditi Singh, a Punjab University wrestling champion whose late father encouraged her to wrestle from a young age, and whose older brother restrains her, at times violently. Das falls in love with her.
