Plot summary
Vic is in his twenties and adrift in Milwaukee, where he works as a medical transport driver and lives with his grandfather, who is senile. He runs late on pickups and drop-offs, often because his workload would keep a whole team busy and each of his disabled clients needs particular care. He meets Tracy, a woman his age who has ALS, and the two begin at odds. He also befriends Dima. When the transport booked for his grandfather and a group of elderly Russian friends does not arrive, Vic drives them to the funeral himself.
