Plot summary
Seventeen years after the events that sent him away, Lee Joon-seok is released from prison, where he served time after claiming responsibility for the death of his friend Dong-soo. He finds the criminal organization he once led under the command of his old subordinate Eun-ki, and begins quietly working to take his place back. In prison he had met Choi Sung-hoon, a young man serving a one-year sentence for assault, who developed respect for Joon-seok. Joon-seok invites Sung-hoon and his gang to join the plan, and Sung-hoon takes his side. The story also reaches back to Joon-seok's father, Lee Chul-joo, a gangster who founded the organization in 1963 Busan.
