Plot summary
Andre Blumberg founded the Hong Kong Four Trails Ultra Challenge in 2012, and it has become one of the hardest ultramarathons anywhere. Runners link the MacLehose, Wilson, Hong Kong and Lantau trails, 298 kilometers with 14,500 meters of climbing, and only those who finish inside 60 hours earn the title of finisher, while 72 hours earns survivor. For the tenth edition, held during the coronavirus pandemic, Blumberg invites back only runners who finished or survived a previous race. Eighteen sign up for the start on 12 February. Stone Tsang, Tom Robertshaw and Salomon Wettstein each aim to break the 50-hour barrier, and the field also includes Law Kai-pong, Will Hayward, Jacky Leung, Hyun Chan Chung, Sarah Pemberton and Nikki Han.
