Plot summary
Dr. Dio Gottlieb, a psychiatrist, takes on the case of an Air Force pilot who cannot remember who he is. Col. Jason Halsey flew stealth fighters as a test pilot in the classified project Black Magic before an air disaster left him with amnesia. Gottlieb works to bring the memory back, and the question running through the sessions is whether he is offering professional help or is a counter-intelligence agent whose task is to debrief the pilot.
