Plot summary
Choi Bae-dal is a young Korean as World War II is ending, and he longs to fly fighter planes. He stows away to Japan to join its air force, and the first person he meets there is a swindler after his money: Chun-bae, another Korean who gets by on petty crime and is trying to stay away from gangsters. The two hide in a truck bound for an air force training camp, where the commander, Kato, treats them with contempt. Amused by Bae-dal's defiance, Kato says he will release them if Bae-dal can beat him in a fight using Taekkyon, the style of his homeland.
