Plot summary
Customs officers open a shipping container filled with human hair meant for extensions and find the body of a young girl, her head shaved. Her organs were taken by traffickers. The corpse is brought to a morgue, where the night watchman, Yamazaki, takes it. Hair grows from the girl's skin, her eye sockets and her tongue, and the hair is alive. He cuts it into extensions and sells them to salons, where stylists like them. Yuko, an apprentice stylist, cares for her niece Mami after her sister Kiyomi left the child with her and her roommate Yuki. Yamazaki meets the two of them and admires their hair.
