Deadball (2011) on Netflix

Plot summary

Jubeh Yakyu discovers his pitching arm is super-powered when the ball he throws kills his father, and his younger adopted brother, Musashi Nakagawa, sees it happen. By seventeen Jubeh is a delinquent blamed for fifty murders in a week, and he is sent to the Pterodactyl Juvenile Reformatory to wait for trial under governor Mifune. There he shares a cell with Shinosuki Suzuku, a sixteen-year-old killer, and clashes with chief warden Ishihara, whose grandfather worked on the Nazis' genocide program. From Mifune he learns that Musashi was held at the reformatory too and died inside it. Ishihara runs a prison baseball league and wants Jubeh on the Pterodactyl Gauntlets; he has not played since his father's death, but when she threatens Shinosuki he agrees, asking for better food and pardons for the players.
