Plot summary
Eight women and men have taken burlesque into new territory. Nakedness is the material of their acts, and they build those acts from politics, satire and physical comedy. Their bodies range from statuesque to transgender to disabled, and their personalities from the sensational to the scintillating. They perform in clubs and in other hidden spaces, where a new burlesque challenges traditional ideas about body, gender and sexuality. They question what a society calls normal.
