Plot summary
Nick Rosen, a skeptical unemployed journalist, agrees to be the guinea pig of a filmmaker determined to prove that yoga can transform anyone. Over six months he travels from New York to Boulder, California and Hawaii, and on to India, to practice under yoga masters including B. K. S. Iyengar, Pattabhi Jois and Norman Allen, Jois's first American pupil. He remains pragmatic and skeptical throughout these varied experiences.
