Plot summary
Orlando, Florida, is home to a community program, the first such program in the country, that matches inner-city, at-risk teenagers with officers of the Orlando Police Department. The two groups come together each week in a dragon boat. Success in the sport depends on all twenty paddlers moving in complete synchronicity. The program aims to build trust between the cops and the kids and to create mentoring relationships that last, in the city's toughest neighborhoods, and it takes on gang prevention, racism, profiling and respect.
