Plot summary
Bonner is an alcoholic policeman, and his marriage to Jane is an unhappy one that ends in divorce; Jane keeps custody of their son. She meets Patrick Brody at her workplace, and a few weeks later they fall in love and marry. The couple moves to another state to build a new life together, and Bonner, the former husband, follows them there with revenge on his mind.
