Plot summary
Jim and Patty Henley are driving through Nevada with their daughter Kate, their son Matt and Matt's friend Ethan when they learn of Weaver, an abandoned town, and detour there to take pictures. At a diner in nearby Two Wells, the patrons seem dazed and claim never to have heard of the place, and a gas station attendant tells Jim to stay on the pavement. In Weaver the family finds a wall marked with a strange symbol and a human-sized dried skin, along with a videotape of earlier visitors. When they try to leave, their SUV will not start, and they settle in for the night in one of the empty buildings.
