Plot summary
By late 1944 the Allies are marching toward the Rhine, and Germany's defeat is plain. Colonel Devlin runs an intelligence unit that enlists German prisoners of war to slip back into their own country and report on their former comrades. Two of the recruits are Tiger, a cynical mercenary, and Happy, a young and idealistic medical student. Monique, once a resistance operative, trains Happy and the others in the techniques of espionage.

- The film was adapted from the novel Call It Treason, which was based on the wartime experiences of author George L. Howe, who served with the Office of Strategic Services unit attached to the Seventh Army during World War II.
