Plot summary
The people of a small valley town in South Wales are not wealthy, and it is a barmaid among them who decides the village should breed a racehorse. With her husband she buys a broodmare, and she invites fellow residents to help with funding and advice. The foal she names Dream Alliance belongs to the whole group, which raises the horse together and enters it in races.
