Danger Zone (1996) on Netflix

Plot summary

Rick Morgan is an American mining engineer who runs a mine in Zambeze. His old friend Jim Scott persuades him to take part in an illegal operation that stores canisters of toxic waste at the site. Mercenaries under a rogue agent named Chang attack the mine, and hundreds of villagers die from the waste. The government holds Morgan responsible, and the CIA lets him return to America. A year later, Maurice Dupont offers him a chance to prove his innocence and stop more deaths. Morgan agrees and is paired with Dr. Kim Woods, a researcher for the World Health Organization. The two set out to find a missing supply of poison.
