Plot summary
Natsuhisa Takashima and his younger brother Haruji leave Tokyo for a summer at Sagami Bay, near the clubhouse of their friend Frank. Natsuhisa and his friends are restless and see little ahead of them; Haruji is quieter and more hopeful. Out on a sailboat the brothers meet Eri, a young woman swimming in the water, and Haruji is drawn to her at once. Natsuhisa barely notices her and tells his brother to go after her, which Haruji does slowly. The two spend time together on the water and at a party Frank gives, and Haruji and Eri begin to fall in love without saying so. Natsuhisa comes to look at Eri differently and secretly begins to desire her himself.
