Plot summary
Playing at the park, five-year-old Shinnosuke and his friends Kazama, Nene, Masao and Bo meet Tamiko, who says she is his bride from twenty years ahead. Her father, Masuzo Kaneari, turned the grown Shinnosuke into a stone statue, she explains, and the adult had sent her back for his younger self. Tamiko carries the children into the future by time machine, where Kaneari's bride corps seize her and take her to her house. The children take refuge at Shinnosuke's home and meet his parents, Hiroshi and Misae. Hiroshi tells them that a meteorite struck the Earth years earlier, blocking the sun, and that Kaneari's electronics company came to control Japan's energy and markets, shutting down rival businesses such as Hiroshi's own firm.
