Conjuring Kannappan (2023) on Netflix

Plot summary

Kannappan has no job and spends his time gaming, hoping to turn the hobby into a career. He talks a boy through some in-game purchases, and Devil Armstrong, the boy's uncle and a local goon, demands that Kannappan repay the money within two weeks. When the water supply fails, Kannappan goes to a well that has sat unused for months and finds a dreamcatcher with a voodoo doll tied to it; he plucks a feather from it. That night he dreams of a palace where ghosts attack him, and the same dream returns whenever he sleeps. An exorcist named Ezhumalai takes up his case and warns him to keep the dreamcatcher away from everyone else, but relatives, Devil Armstrong and Dr. Johnny pluck feathers too and are pulled into the same dream.
