Plot summary
In 2020 Dionne Marie Hanna wrote to Graham Hornigold, a pastry chef in London, saying she was the mother he had never met. He had been raised by his father and then in foster care, and he wanted to know her. Dionne portrayed herself as a rich businesswoman whose father was the Sultan of Brunei. She paid for cars and hotel stays for Hornigold, for his partner Heather Kaniuk and for their friends, and promised a big inheritance. Then she said she had terminal cancer and asked him for money.
