Plot summary
Norval Greenwood plays music and shares a Beverly Hills house with his mother. A letter arrives from his father, whom he has not met since he was five, inviting him to visit. Norval makes the trip to a remote cabin above the Oregon coast. Brian, his father, welcomes him at first. When Norval mentions that he once tried to take his own life, the mood sours: Brian taunts him, insults him and threatens to hurt him.
