Plot summary
On October 30, 2015, pyrotechnics during a concert by the band Goodbye to Gravity set the Colectiv club in Bucharest on fire, killing 27 people and injuring 180. In the months that follow, more victims die in public hospitals. Sources tell reporters at the newspaper Gazeta Sporturilor that the disinfectants the hospitals use have been diluted, and tests confirm it. The paper publishes its findings about the supplier, Hexi Pharma, which falsified documentation for its products, and about the government's failure to check the company. The health minister, Patriciu Achimaș-Cadariu, orders an investigation, and when Cătălin Tolontan of Gazeta discusses it on television, the ministry insists its own tests show the solutions are 95 percent effective.
