Plot summary
A beggar takes in the baby abandoned in a coin locker at a Seoul train station and names her Il-young. When the girl is ten, a corrupt detective hands her to Mother as payment on his own debt. Mother runs a loan shark and organ trafficking operation in Incheon Chinatown and keeps only people of use to her. She raises Il-young, who shows toughness and smarts, and trains her to work as her personal debt collector. Il-young is sent to Suk-hyun, the son of a debtor, and over the following days he shows no fear of her and talks openly about his own struggles.
