Plot summary
Federico is a killer of children, and the police are looking for him. A wound forces him to seek shelter, and he ends up in the care of Simona, a girl of eleven. Over the time they spend together, the two form an attachment that becomes a strange kind of love. Vera, Simona's mother, is depressed and married to a man who stays out of sight and uses a wheelchair. Vera feels a pull toward Federico, and she proposes that the two of them work together to end her husband's life. Simona dislikes the bond that forms between her mother and Federico.
