Plot summary

Roy Egan has left his life as a thief behind, until his brother Lee talks him into one more job: a jewelry heist in Palm Springs. Lee brings Jorge Montana along as muscle and Skip Kovich as the driver, and Jorge's work on the police monitors and traffic signals gets the crew away clean. Afterward a partner turns on the brothers and Lee is shot; Roy gets away, takes a car and drives to Los Angeles with the money. He rents a room and begins looking for his brother's killer, stopping at Lee's house to tell Lee's wife, Sunny, what happened. Skip, meanwhile, owes a loan shark and lines up a crew for protection.
