Plot summary
It begins with children answering questions about what they want, what fame means and how being on camera feels. From there it traces the history and the economics of child stardom in the United States, back to silent pictures and performers such as Jackie Coogan and Shirley Temple. Former child stars describe their own years in the business, and a producer of Home Alone and the first two Harry Potter films talks about casting young actors and what fame does to their lives afterward. The interviewer, a singer and actor who worked on Barney & Friends and on Disney Channel, adds her own childhood and speaks with her mother and sisters.
