Plot summary
Aniruddh "Anni" Pathak is a divorced man whose teenage son Raghav awaits the results of a highly competitive engineering entrance examination. When Raghav does not clear it, he is hospitalized, and Anni sits beside him and begins recounting his own student days. In 1992 Anni joins the National College of Technology and is placed in Hostel 4, the block the campus treats as home to its losers. There he meets Gurmeet "Sexa" Singh Dhillon, Himanshu "Acid" Deshmukh, Sundar "Mummy" Saxena, Sahil "Bevda" Awasthi and Derek D'Souza, and falls for Maya. Raggie, the leader of the rival Hostel 3, looks down on them all.
