Case for a Rookie Hangman (1970) on Netflix

Plot summary

Lemuel Gulliver's car has crashed, and he sets out on foot through unfamiliar countryside. Along the road he comes upon a dead rabbit wearing a man's clothes and lifts a watch from the waistcoat pocket. The half-ruined house he enters stirs a childhood memory of Markéta, a girl he loved who drowned years before. He arrives in Balnibarbi, a land whose customs and rules he cannot grasp, and his conduct keeps offending public decency. On this particular day the inhabitants are told to keep their mouths shut, and the visitor is pressed to obey as well. Brought in for hard questioning, he cannot easily make clear that he is not Oscar, the rabbit to whom the watch belonged.
