Plot summary
The death of Stefano's estranged father brings a stranger into his life: a 13-year-old half-brother living in Rome, a boy Stefano never knew about. The inheritance can be his only if he becomes the boy's legal guardian. He makes his living tracking rainbows in Piedmont and has no wish to raise a child, but the substantial sum tied to the arrangement persuades him to make the trip to the capital. In Rome he meets the teenager he is now responsible for. The two then head back north together, and the time on the road turns a piece of business into something closer.
